Denver, CO – Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Western Operations awards a Three Year contract for Financial Training and Course Development Services.

*Rockville, MD – (September 8, 2011) AllianceCorp (www.alliancecorp.net) AllianceCorp was selected competitively to provide the HUD, Western Field Contracting Operations, Denver, CO, Financial Management and Governance Training in fifteen major cities within the continental United States under its GSA, FABS Schedule. The purpose of the training is to improve the financial conditions and long-term sustainability of the affordable housing stock. This will be accomplished by improving the capacity of administrators, owners, management agents, and employees of affordable housing to more effectively and efficiently manage their housing portfolio by promoting and facilitating effective financial management and governance across the spectrum of the Office of Public and Indian Housing (PIH) and Multifamily housing programs. The objective of the training is to provide HUD employees, management, and executives with an understanding of the terminology and fundamental concepts of public finance and accounting, and awareness of sound financing and reporting mechanisms, how to develop and utilize risk management strategies, and an understanding of methods of evaluating projected business success or failures, and an understanding of how to monitor sub-recipient performance using financial indicators and other management analyses. AllianceCorp is tasked to design training to use existing HUD materials, including participant notebooks, trainer’s manuals and visual aids for the following courses: (a) Introduction to Financial Management (Core Course); (b) Internal Controls and Financial Management (Core Course); (c) Financial Performance Marketing (Core Course); (d) Project-Based Development and Analysis (Topic-Specific Course); and (e) Capital Fund Planning, Implementation, and Reporting (Topic-Specific Course).
